Of late, BMW India announced the launch of the 3 Series Gran Limousine in the national market. As per reports, it acts as a replacement to the GT variant and the obtainable price will be 320Ld luxury line (₹52.90 lakh), 330Li Luxury line, and the 330 Li M sport First Edition trims. The upcoming model Gran limousine gets a longer wheelbase of 110 mm than regular 3r. It is available at the price of ₹51.50 lakh for 30Li luxury line and ₹53.90 lakh for 330Li m sport – the first edition.
Along with a roomier cabin for the occupants inside, this enables the new model to be the longest in its segment. In terms of performance, the 2.0-litre petrol and the 2.0-litre diesel are used. The former develops a maximum power output of 190 bhp and 400Nm of peak torque, on the other hand, the latter kicks out 400 Nm and 258 bhp.
Each engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission sending power to only the rear axle. The upcoming model, BMW 3 Series Gran, Limousine helps in expanding the 3 series as it is sold together with the regular wheelbase model. It competes against Mercedes-Benz C-class, Jaguar XE and Audi a4. The Bavarian luxury carmaker is about to attract chauffeur-driven customers as well as Merc E-Class LWB.
In terms of comfort, the seats have been bolstered and well-cushioned. There is hardly a noticeable difference if you spend time either driving or sitting on the front passenger seat. In terms of features, it comes with an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with BMW’s iDrive, interior mood lighting, headlamps, LED tail lamps, and automatic climate control etc.
The upcoming model is locally produced at Chennai plant of BMW’ and the petrol version is claimed to reach 0-100 kph in 6.2 seconds while in diesel it reaches in 7.6 seconds.
