Former Air Chief now independent director of Hero MotoCorp

On Thursday, the country’s largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp said it has appointed Air Chief Marshal (Retd) BS Dhanoa as a non-executive and independent director on the company’s board with immediate effect. Dhanoa served as chief of the Indian Air Force from January 1, 2017 to September 30, 2019.  According to a statement issued by Hero MotoCorp, the company has also selected Sanjay Bhan as Head of Global Business to pursue rapid expansion and consolidation in the international markets. Bhan has spent more than three decades across after-sales, sales, marketing, and parts business in his earlier period in the company.

According to the company, it has also strengthened leadership terms in plant operations by appointing new hands and elevating new talent from within. Also, Rajat Bhargava, former Head of Strategy, Global Business and Emerging Mobility Business Unit (EMBU) has been selected as the new Chief of Staff role in the office of Chairman and CEO. On the other hand, Malo Le Masson, who was the Head of Global Product Planning, has been appointed the Head of Strategy.

Apart from this, Ravi pisipaty, the chief of three plants and the Global parts Centre, is now chief of Plant Operations. On the other hand, Mahesh Kaikini the head of the Gurugram plant, has been selected as Chief Quality Officer of the company. Talking about the growth in two-wheeler segment, in recent times, there has been a rise in the sales owing to the safety concerns of customers. People prefer private vehicle to public transport.
