InterGlobe Aviation Ltd (IndiGo) announces the appointment of Jiten Chopra as Chief Financial Officer effective 21 February 2021. Chopra will report to Ronojoy Dutta, Managing Director, and CEO of Whole Time. Chopra succeeds Aditya Pande who leaves IndiGo to pursue other interests.
Ronojoy Dutta, Director, and CEO of IndiGo said, “We are lucky and happy to have Jiten embrace this role. His vast expertise before IndiGo and his experience since joining us in February 2020 will greatly strengthen our team as we continue to build a world-class national air transport network.”
Dutta also added that they are sorry to lose Aditya, who has made a significant contribution to IndiGo over the past 17 months. also, they would like to thank Aditya Pande for his services and wish him every success in his future efforts.
Jiten Chopra joined IndiGo as Head of Governance, Risk, and Compliance in February 2020. Before joining IndiGo, Chopra had approximately 25 years of experience working at BSR & Co (KPMG) in audit and risk management, business development, operations, and transaction services. He was their Senior Partner, COO Audit & Member of the Executive Audit team before leaving KMPG.
His role as a Senior Partner included managing customer relationships and carrying out audit tasks to ensure high delivery quality, identifying business opportunities, and growing KPMG’s account. The position also had important interaction with top-level client managers, including CXOs, CFOs, and CEOs, meeting and presenting to members of the Board and Audit Committee.
Jiten Chopra said that he was delighted about his new role at IndiGo. Chopra is an FCA of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, India (1995) and a CWA of the Institute of Cost Accountants, India (1995). Previously, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Management Science in 1990.
