Lava to unveil Made in India phones on Jan 7

In a latest announcement, Lava has stated that it will launch its “Made in India” smartphones on January 7, 2021. The company further stated that the phones will have “evolved and dynamic engineering”. Lava will live-stream the event on its Youtube and Facebook channels beginning at 12 PM (noon). In a video tweet posted on December 28, Lava India President and Business Head, Sunil Raina invited people to witness an unprecedented event in the smartphone industry. He stated that the smartphone engineering has never been so evolved and dynamic. He further asked people to tune in to the live webcast of the event. He promised that event would make feel proudly Indian.
Also, Lava posted teasers of the forthcoming phones. In one of the teasers, Lava mentions “the game is about to change”. This directs that one of its phones may be aimed at mobile gamers looking for a budget option. In the country, Lava may get advantage from the anti-China sentiment. This is because of the recent interest for indigenous products. Prior to Lava, Micromax also introduced two devices in the budget section aspiring to make a comeback in the market.
Already the company has launched its BeU smartphone aimed at women users. Having a 1560×720 pixels resolution and 2.5D curved screen, the phone has a 6.088-inch HD+ notch display. The phone is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core processor. It also comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The phone comes with a 4,060 mAh battery. The phone operates on Android 10 Go Edition and offers a stock experience. With a 13MP primary camera, it has a dual-camera setup. It has an 8MP camera for selfies.
