Today Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant announced a new service – DigiBoxx. It is a cloud storage, sharing and collaboration platform. It is looking to provide users as well as firms a made in India self-reliant cloud storage and file sharing platform. The price for the service has keep competitively. There is one free tier having 20 GB cloud storage. Then comes second tier targeted at individuals and freelancers costing Rs 30 per month offering 5TB cloud storage. For small and medium businesses, there is another tier costing Rs 999 per month offering up to 50 TB storage. Finally, a tier for firms with unlimited data storage at varied pricing.
Initially, the DigiBoxx cloud storage service will be available on web platforms and Android. For iOS users, the app is slated to come soon. As per DigiBoxx, they will also provide SSL file encryption, together with features such as amalgamation with Gmail and real-time multi-user file collaboration. Talking about the free tier, users can simply sign up with their mobile number and email address, and get 20 GB of cloud storage space. The free tier version lets multiple external people collaborate. This means that users without DigiBoxx accounts will also get to access files shared with them via the platform.
In the free tier, the max size per file will be limited to 2GB. On the other hand, Gmail integration and real-time file collaboration will be coming to the service soon. Talking about the Rs 30 per month plan, user will get access to up to 5TB storage space and 100GB per file size cap. Other features will continue to be the same with the free tier.
