After a complaint was lodged with Mumbai Cyber police, the E-commerce giant Myntra has decided to change its logo alleging it to be insulting and offensive towards the female community.
In December Last year, one of the member NGO Avesta Naaz Patel Foundation demanding the removal of the logo by Myntra and appropriate action against the firm. According to some sources, Naaz had also taken up the matter on various platforms on social media.
According to DCP Rashmi karandikar, Cybercrime Department of Mumbai Police, “We have found that the logo was offensive in nature for the female community. In terms of the complaint, we sent an email to the firm and their officials came and met us. As per the company officials, they will change the logo in the coming month.
The conglomerate said they would replace their logo on their packaging material as well as on their website. According to some inputs, Myntra has already issued printing orders for packaging material with new logo.
