Myntra, fashion e-tailor, has claimed to achieve 100% growth in order during its festive season sale. As per the company, 45 million users visited the company’s portal. Out of this, 4 million users shopped 13 million products during the ‘Big Fashion Festival’ sale which ended on October 22. On its platform, 51% of shoppers were women. During the event, tier 2 and 3 cities emerged strong. As compared to the previous edition, tier 3 cities have seen a 180% growth in new shoppers. With more than 100 brands and 1,000 stores, Myntra has been able to fulfil customer deliveries in close to around 11,000 pincodes.
9,000 articles per minute
During the event, the company claims to have on-boarded 1 million new users. Over the previous edition of the sale, it has registered 105% growth in new users. When it comes to men fashion, jeans and sweatshirts, casual shoes and kurtas, t-shirts, shirts, were popular among the new customers. On the other hand, tops, dresses, kurtas, kurta sets and jeans were popular with women. Talking about the top brands, Mast & Harbour, Libas, Sassafras, Dressberry, Roadster, HRX, Dressberry and Vishudh, among others were the top brands. As per Myntra, the orders peaked to 9,000 articles per minute.
During the Big Fashion Festival, customers from tier 2 and 3 cities accounted for 50 per cent of the total sale. Talking about the emerging non-metro cities contributing to the new customer growth, they included Jaipur, Surat, Nagpur, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, Visakhapatnam and Bhopal. In new customers, tier-3 cities witnessed a growth of 180%. This was headed by Shillong, Karimnagar, Muzaffarpur, Imphal, Udaipur among others. From November 30, the company looks to hold the second festive season sale.
