PUBG owner to launch two new games similar to PUBG

There is some good news for PUBG fans. With the introduction of two new games similar to PUBG, the battle royal universe is likely to get an expansion. Kim Chang-han, CEO of Krafton, confirmed the development. PUBG Corporation is owned by the South Korean firm Krafton. He stated that the firm was looking to make PUBG a big franchise and won’t turn it into a ‘one-hit-wonder.’ It implies that the new PUBG-based game is likely to be launched for PCs and consoles. For mobile users, there is some good news that a new battle royale title based on PUBG could be introduced for mobile. By 2022, the new PUBG-like games are likely to launch.

Apart from this, there are some other details also in the pipeline. In 2022, a horror game based on PUBG titled ‘The Callisto Protocol’ is also likely to release. The game will imitate the PUBG world. For the unversed, PUBG and PUBG Mobile are also likely to get a major sequel. Reportedly, it will be called PUBG 2 and PUBG Mobile 2. Apart from this, the new variant is expected to support cross-platform capability across gaming consoles, PCs, and mobile. However, it is not officially confirmed. In the meantime, PUBG Corporation is doing hard work to relaunch the mobile game to India months after a ban was imposed.

Under 69A of the Information Technology Act, the Indian government had banned the game. The government claimed that PUBG Mobile app was engaged in actions that are detrimental to sovereignty and integrity of the country.
