Recently, Reliance Jio has upgraded its Made-in-India mobile browser JioPages. The browser is accessible in eight Indian languages. It comes with better browsing experience while maintaining data privacy. On Tuesday, the new type of the browser made its debut on Google Playstore. The browser is designed on the Chromium Blink engine. If offers better browsing experience by means of efficient media streaming, Emoji domain support, faster engine migration, webpage rendering, faster page loads, and encrypted connection. In the meantime, the previous version had witnessed more than 14 million downloads. All those consumers would be upgraded to the latest version in a phased manner.
Supports eight Indian languages
The browser is entirely designed and conceptualised in India. Besides English, it supports eight Indian languages – Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, and Bengali. Based on their preferred state, consumers will have the choice of customising the content feed. After choosing a state, the local eminent sites begin appearing on the screen. The browser focuses on data-privacy amidst apprehension on web security and data protection. It provides its users complete control of their information. When it comes to vital features, it includes a personalized home screen. It will allow users to have the choice of setting any of the top search engines such as Yahoo, Bing, Google, MSN and others as the default search engine.
On the home screen, for quick and easy access, the consumer can also pin the links of their favorite websites. Talking about other features, users will get the choice of a customized theme. This will also include an option to switch to ‘dark mode’ for an eye-soothing viewing experience at night. Also, users have the choice of setting a four-digit security PIN or fingerprint as an access code to the `incognito mode’.
