Shiv Nadar, HCL Technologies Co-Founder has stepped down from the position of the Chairman of the Board of Directors. His daughter Roshni Nadar Malhotra who currently holds the position of Non-Executive Director has been given the charge of HCL Technologies as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors with effect from July 17, 2020. However he would continue to serve as the Managing Director of the company. According to an official statement by HCL, he will continue to work as the Chief Strategy Officer of the Company. Almost three decades back in November 1991, HCL Technologies was established by Shiv Nadar together with Ajay Chowdhry, Arjun Malhotra and five others.
According to C Vijaykumar, CEO of HCL Technologies, there would be no alteration in the company’s strategy with this change. Furthermore, he stated that the planning of the business had been very well thought off. HCL has got an exceptional leadership team and its entire team contribute to the overall strategy and the growth. HCL has delivered an exceptional industry leading growth for the four consecutive years. HCL is still optimistic even in these testing times.
It is to be pointed that HCL also declared its first quarter company results today. The company declared a 31.70 per cent increase in net profit on a YoY (year-on-year) at Rs 2,925 crore. It is beyond Rs 2,220 crore profit it declared in the same quarter last year.
